Top Philadelphia Ad Agency Hires Award-Winning Executive Creative Director, Rich Wakefield to Head D4’s Creative Team

D4 is pleased to announce that Rich Wakefield has joined the agency as its new Executive Creative Director, bringing 20+ years of creative direction experience.

Since the beginning of 2014, D4 has made it a priority to recruit nationally experienced talent to lead its creative team, hoping to continue to attract clients of national brands. Rich has spent his extensive career designing, art directing, collaborating and guiding work in nearly all facets of marketing communications. He has worked on major award-winning national and international advertising campaigns for AT&T, Egypt Tourism, Kia Motors and many more. In his new role, Rich will oversee a team of nearly 30 in the creative, interactive, audio/video and print production departments. “What attracted me to D4 was the entrepreneurial spirit. This place is filled with makers. I’ve worked in many places that have meetings about making things, here we actually make things.”

Rich comes to D4 after working at Neiman (now Allen & Gerritsen) for the past two years as executive creative director. Most recently, he helped lead his team working on Temple University’s #templemade campaign, the Philly Toast for Yuengling, and the new Temple Health campaign.

He moved to Philadelphia two years ago from Cairo, Egypt where he was the ECD at JWT Cairo working on Nestle, Vodafone and Egypt Tourism. He lived through the Egyptian revolution and the Arab Spring before returning back stateside.
